A layout and some more sale sneaks!!!

Hi there!

I've created this layout using the current palette at The Colour Room (Palette #98)...


I wanted this lovely photo with a rubbish background (hence that's why we're silhouetted!) to shine! Fun! This was the perfect opportunity!

I have also used TCR sketch - they always have such fantastic sketches!

I have used a doiley as a mask and used metallic acrylic paint with a paintbrush for this background.

I've journalled around my double-sided tape roll...


And my title has used a small plate as a template!

Did you spy those funky fabric spotty buttons? They are from Purple Pumpkin! I've squished them together by just layering them - then pressing down on them... that's fun!

Once Upon A Sketch... :)

Hi! I've managed to play along with Once Upon A ...Sketch. Here's the current challenge...

Journalling criteria/theme: HOLIDAYS/VACATION

Have you printed out all those photos from your last holiday/vacation or most favourite holiday/vacation? We would LOVE to see them and hear all about it. With the theme of holidays/vacation for this challenge, we would love to hear about: your favourite holiday/vacation of all time or a favourite place you would LOVE to take a holiday in . Or how about the last holiday/vacation you went to? Maybe you have not travelled yet? Then tell us about your DREAM HOLIDAY /VACATION destination.

Remember that you are allowed to also create a card or altered project based on this sketch and theme and instead of the journalling criteria you need to use a quote.

So my fave holiday destination is The Gold Coast, Queensland! :D

Did you spy the Austin Powers look-a-like? He was at Movie World... what a dead-ringer!!! He had the voice perfect too... it was uncanny!!!

I've followed the sketch rather closely here - but in the large circle I have included lots of pre-digi photos punched out and adhered in a grid-like formation. :)

To match the theme of the photos and title (Day & Night - Gold Coast rules!) ;) - I've included a cute night owl fabric button from Purple Pumpkin and I've made a Cartoon Cutie! About time I know! My sun is made from felt, beads and goggle eyes. I've also used Purple Pumpkin doilies and carnival tickets here!

I used an off-cut of the corrugated cardboard that I used on my layout to stamp paint onto my background for a fun, hypo look... lol!

A LOVEly pair of challenges for you ...

Hello everyone! Well it's my turn to share with you all my take on this month's LOVEly challenge which has just gone up at Scrapbookit! ;)

The challenge is to scrap someone or something that is truly cherished. I made a bee-line to one of these recent pics of my adorable daughter, Heidi... and scrapped it!

My layout is called "Cherish"...

I have used a delightful new range from Echo Park called Yours Truly. This collection is really classic and elegant but also fresh and funky!

Here I've used the alpha stickers and the cute elements stickers that are included along with the 12x12 Alphabet Sticker sheet.

The Green Tara Red Satin Leaf Garland really ties in well with this collection. :)


I've made a stamped frame on my page by laying transparency over my photo and stamping around the outside of the photo with Prima's Ruby Violet funky flower stamps (Collection #1). I then cut around my frame, coloured in some of the flowers with a pink marker, then finished them off with a bit of bling. :)

The cardstock base for my layout is by Kaisercraft, and the colour is called "Scarlett".

And now for my card...


So I've used the same Echo Park collection ("Yours Truly") as my layout, plus I've also added a gorgeous bunch of these stunning rosebuds. They are so lush! There are so many flowers to choose from in store!

Dressing up Kraft! :)

Hi! I created this page for the current challenge at Kraft It Up!. The requirements for this month are;

about "LOVE in general. HOWEVER I do want to see PINK on your layout somewhere and of course your layouts must be created on Kraft CS or Kraft PP".

Here's my layout...


It's called "U Love 2 Dress-Up". :) I've "dressed-up" my Kraft cardstock with a cute mix of pink patterned papers punched with a cool punch from Stampin' Up!. I found it a great way to use up the stash - especially for those super cute small scraps that you just can't bear to throw away!

I've also made my own border around the photo using the fine tip and then the thick tip of two different coloured Zig Writer pens.

LOTS of Purple Pumpkin too of course!...


Like that gorgeous handmade flower, fabric button, rose cabochons, doilies and tickets



Those gold letters were from a RAK from the lovely Amanda! Thanks so much, Amanda!!! They were just right for my layout as there's gold highlights on Heidi's dress! And I had to have a banner too - you can faintly see one mirrored in the photo which was a IRL banner! Love little details like that! So fun! :)

It's time for Get Picky's February Sketch Challenge Reveal!!

Hi there! Get Picky's just unveiled their sketch challenge for February and as always, it doesn't disappoint! Nothing like a great sketch to get you inspired, hey?

My DT layout is very close to this month's sketch and it's rather on the clean and simple side (for me) - I don't know why but that's how it turned out! Something different for a change! :)

My layout is called "100% aDORAble"...


I couldn't resist playing on the title like this, as Heidi is wearing her Dora dress and backpack and looking... well... adorable! :D

The "Dora" part of the title is actually two identical Thickers stacked on top of each other so the word stands out even more IRL.


There's the other shopping bag handle that I used on a previous layout I did featuring seaweed. ;)

And can you spy that fabric button peeking out there from under the shopping bag handle bow? That, and the green ticket, are from non other than Purple Pumpkin!

I've also used some cocktail umbrellas on here to match Heidi's Dora outfit... it's a nice bright dress - I think it's "Dora goes to Paradise" or something... sounds good to me! I'd be up for exploring Paradise! ;)

First layout is using the latest palette at The Colour Room...


This fun pic was taken in the homewares department at Myer... they had such a blast playing in this teepee play tent! Plus they had the salespeople and customers in stitches with their antics! It was very cute! :)

BasicGrey Goodness! :)

I managed to play along with BasicGrey's latest sketch challenge (2.6.12) and I've used some of their lovely "Hello Luscious" collection for my layout...


It's called "Discovering Seaweed!". I have followed the BG sketch fairly closely, but I've changed the title position and I've added some extras in there too. ;)

How do you like my seaweed? lol! It's from an aquarium plant (unused of course!). I've also used a few recycled items on here too...


That bow is a handle cut off of a paper shopping bag.


I've got two lovely Purple Pumpkin doilies on here too. Just love 'em! :D

My take on the latest palette at The Colour Room...

Here's my layout using palette #96 at The Colour Room...


This pretty palette was just perfect for these cute pics at a yummy-named park! It's a lovely park, but alas - there are in actual fact - NO MARSHMALLOWS! LOL! :)

I've drawn my own leaves and grass - it was really fun making the five small photos "peek" through the blades...


I've stuck a Kaisercraft rhinestone butterfly on top of a piece of Purple Pumpkin doily trim and er, "trimmed" around it...


And I love this Purple Pumpkin handmade fabric flower...

I've actually glued a Spotty Dotty Button on top! :D

That rose cabochon is also from PP. They are super cute!

Oh and speaking of The Colour Room - I actually one a Prize Pack RAK last week! Super sweet! Woot! :D
