This month the 2Crafty design team were invited to guest design for Scrap Around the World.
We had a gorgeous mood board and lovely sketch to work with. Here is my layout, "A Touch of Venice in Adelaide"...
I can officially tick "riding a gondola" off my bucket list! Yay!!
How lovely is that gold gondola charm?! And how perfect! It's from Meg's Garden. :) I have used the following 2Crafty chipboard products on my layout;
1. Tiny Kathleen's Frame - This has been coloured with a black paint pen marker, with the middle pushed out. The middle has been covered with matching patterned paper, trimmed around the edges and placed back into the frame. I have hand written and my title along with some small letter stickers and topped it off with the aforementioned gold charm. :)
2. Viewfinder - I can't get enough of these. They go with everything and they looks so cool. I've used two viewfinder reels on my layout. A small one under Kathleen's Frame and a large one with a quarter cut out of it. The quarter features on the bottom left of the top photo and the three quarter piece features on the bottom left of the layout. The reels have been painted with red acrylic paint and topped with dimensional magic.
I have adhered bling circles to the large reel with a decorative brad in the middle (see above photo). :)
3. Cartia's Swirl - This has been cut in half and used above and below the middle photograph. I've painted the swirl flourish in pink acrylic paint and outlined around it with a fine black paint pen.
Here is the mood board and sketch that I used...
