I have played along at PageMaps' sketch contest, sponsored by Greatest View.
The sketch really caught my eye, and I've got stuck into OA's awesomely fun "Midway" collection again. This has to be one of my favourite collections I think! :)
Here's my layout, "Rollerskating"...
So I followed this sketch fairly closely, until midway (excuse the unintentional, but funny pun!) where I flipped the layout and the sketch on it's side and proceeded to adhere the photos vertically instead. I've never done this before and I really like it! So after the photos where adhered I added the journalling, title etc based on the sketch the right way up, yet keeping the layout as is. It's a little bit confusing to explain!
I have used 2Crafty's Alpha Set 1 for my title. I've left it in it's raw state and outlined around the edges with a black pen for definition.
Just one more closie. :) I've used black Dylusions with a chevvie mask, which lends itself really well to the rollerskating theme.
Here's the sketch from PageMaps...
And here is my card with some scraps from the same collection...
That pinky background is a left-over scrap from some Dylusions experiments. ;)
I've based my card on the sketch over at Retro Sketches (#84).
That's all for today!
Thanks for looking and have a "quacker" day! ;)
